Birds that spend hours scratching often look busier and less interested in picking on flockmates.<\/p>\n<p>A dust bath habit still belongs at home (<a href=\"\/learn\/beginner\/chicken-dust-bath\/\">chicken dust bath<\/a>). Range is enrichment, not a substitute for dry housing, nests, or mesh standards.
