Flockline starts with the decision a keeper needs to make, traces every material claim to evidence, preserves uncertainty, and records meaningful changes.

Topic selection
Choose by consequence, confusion, and need.
Topics are prioritised when they are safety-critical, common, confusing, underserved, changing, or central to a keeper’s next decision.
Search demand and community discussion may reveal a missing question. They do not determine the answer or its medical validity.
Source selection
Match the evidence to the claim.
We prefer direct poultry evidence and record the population, species, setting, sample, study design, limitations, and date.
Check
Confirm identity, publication details, directness, study design, sample, limitations, and whether the source supports the exact claim.
Connect
Link the source to a stable claim or topic node with a rationale: supports, qualifies, contradicts, or supersedes.
Community intelligence
Useful for discovery. Never a shortcut to proof.
Public Reddit and backyard-chicken discussions can expose repeated observations, confusing language, practical constraints, and questions not answered well elsewhere.
Flockline aggregates and paraphrases. We do not publish private-group content, usernames, personal information, or a single anecdote as a pattern. Community patterns always state that they are not medical evidence.
